Closet Complete!

So excited that the closet makeover is completed!  I still have a few things to organize but all of the shelving and trim is installed and I could not be happier.  For less than $500.00 total everything worked out great.  Click Here to read more about the closet system I used from Home Depot.

Installation was pretty straight forward.  I would strongly recommend a table saw to cut the shelves to length.  To try and keep the cuts as clean as possible I taped the boards with painters tape.

For the shoes, I used the 25 inch tower, I was able to get about 4 pairs of shoes on each shelf.  I put the bracket for the back shelf up a peg from the top so that the shelves angled back for better display of the shoes.

I also got all new hangers from Costco that are slim fit and do not slip.  They had 35 for $9.99.

Even Abby found her stuff

ClosetMaid Impressions

I decided to go with the ClosetMaid Impressions system from Home Depot.  The main reason was for the ease install. I was going to build all of the shelves and bookcases out of MDF and then paint, but this was a much faster option.  They really look great and it cost just over $400.00 so you can't beat the price.  The Impressions system is new to Home Depot and by far the nicest looking out of all of the brands at both Home Depot and Lowes.  It comes will all of the trim pieces to get the closet a finished look.

Installed so far is the 25 and 16 inch towers and the corner shelf and bar.  I really like the idea of not have the whole corner being wasted space.
