With just a few clicks of the mouse...

I can not tell you how many times I've looked at professional photography and wished I could get my images to look half as good.  I was one talent I thought I just would never master.  I got better cameras, and better lenses, both did help but I was still not there.  I have so much admiration for our photographer, Jennifer Grant, she makes it look so easy.  I may not have mastered the art of photography, but I've got a work around.   So my lighting is not always perfect, I've been working with flash and reflectors.  But most time my subject will not even sit long enough to grab my camera, so I tend to use the onboard flash more than I'd like.

Here is one of my favorite pictures I've taken of Ellie,  I think she was about 4 months old.  I was trying to get the perfect "thank you" note picture for her baptism.  I wanted to use the blanket she got from Christmas, it was special order from England by her Grandma Anne. (if it looks familiar, that's because its the same blanket that the Prince made his first public appearance...and yes, I've always had a thing for the royals)

Totally cute photo, because of Ellie, but there is not the "wow" factor

Introducing - Paint the Moon Photoshop and Photoshop Elements actions.  What's that you ask?  Well, you know those Photoshop layers? Yeaa, I've taken a number of classes on Photoshop and was years away from understanding.  So Paint the Moon is pre programed actions for Photoshop, so they will create all the layers for you.  A few tweaks here and there and ta da!!!

Now that's a portrait!  With out a doubt going to print this one!  This was from the Paint the Moon basic collection, check out their website at www.paintthemoon.com.  They even have a free action you can download and try.  But trust me, you'll get the bug and want more!
