We needed a new kitchen tables with some specific specifications. And also a specific price tag. We looked all over the local furniture stores and the internet and being unable to find what we wanted, I decided to make my own. And if I happen to find a table I like, this will work as a good work bench :)
I liked the industrial look, so I decided to go with pluming pipes. I got the table assembled in one nap time, so it was a fast project. It took longer to have the pipe cut and threaded at Home Depot. (see the shopping list below)
Some of the pipes had writing on the sides so I had a can of silver spray paint so I gave the base a quick spray of silver to cover. At some point I may want it to be black instead of silver - a little spray paint will do the trick.
I held the plank together with a 2 by 1/2 and screws.
